Beach clean up (Open)

In the wake of the Hydra, Siren Cove was an awful mess. Not that said description did any justice to the citizens who'd lost their lives or those currently in the hospital because of the nightmarish creature. But just as much of the town remained as damaged as its people, and Cosette, with her own minor injury thoroughly taken care of thanks to Joel, is out at the beach to help with the aftermath.

The police and firemen were there, of course, as well as various church groups and charities. Cosette had volunteered instantly, knowing she could be of assistance, especially since it was the full moon, that night, thus enabling her to make use of her ability to spread good fortune to others. Already, she had reunited lost pets with frantic owners, solved a case of a missing purse, and potentially linked together a pair of future lovers.

Now, she is sorting through scorched sand and picking up scattered debris, keeping an eye out for any who may need her aid. This close to the sea, she is tempted to take on her natural form and investigate the waters as to the cause of the Hydra. But she knows better, and so she settles for letting her hair flow loose in the wind behind her as she continues her work.

She starts to sing softly under her breath, one of her favorite arias, as she works.

(OOC: Set to after the Hydra attacks, this is Cosette's introduction post of sorts. Find her roaming the beach, picking up trash, and singing as she does so. She's friendly, so feel free to say hello!)

"I was fifth and a daughter in a line of boys, so," she shrugs again. "I got the boot. Whatever, I'm fine with it. I think I got the better end of the bargain, personally."

"Wow, a musical prodigy huh?" She quirks an eyebrow, sensing that, perhaps, his musical abilities weren't entirely of the natural origins.

[bachjones]

"You have brothers?" Bach would love to have brothers. Pretty sure, anyway. "Don't you miss them? Don't they miss you? That's ..w- different."

"I don't know. My mother tried a few things with me and music stuck. I like music. I like to tell stories."

[suchgoodluck]

"I left when I was two," she says, playing with her nails. "I don't even know their names, so that helps, I guess."

"You sound like a musician, one of the good ones. Music should tell stories," Cosette agrees.

[bachjones]

"Ah. Is this making you uncomfortable? I din't want that. I guess some people would think it's a strange subject for a first meeting anyway."

He winks. "The weather lately is a downright shocker, don't you think?"

[suchgoodluck]

"No worries," she waves it off. "I'm used to this conversation."

"The weather lately is why I'm cleaning up the beach," she winks back.

[bachjones]

"Really?" He touches his scarf in mock surprise. "I thought we had a criminal litterer on our hands."

[suchgoodluck]

"If we did have a criminal litterer on our hands, I would've kicked his ass by now," she informs him with a playful smile of her own. "I'd have Dumb Blonde as my superhero name, just to throw bad guys like that off."

[bachjones]

He grins. "Dumb Blonde. But isn't kind of dumb to share not only your superhero name but also that you're one? I'm not really good with all that stuff but isn't anonymity kind of what it's about? And maybe Super Trash works really hard to keep litter littered."

[suchgoodluck]

"I'm all about honesty, myself, so I guess I would make a terrible superhero." She laughs. "Yeah, I guess I do have to give Super Trash the credit."

"What about you? What would your superpower be?"

[bachjones]

"But we will stop him and his cronies. I like that word, cronies. It doesn't fit into any story, or I have yet to find the music for it but ..crony. Innocent sounding for illegal things."

He chews his bottom lip. "Uh. My head's really attractive for cats? And people like me. Okay, people like me."

[suchgoodluck]

"Cronies is a fun word," she agrees. "I always think of the old witch from Snow White for some reason, though."

"People like you?" She quirks an eyebrow again.

[bachjones]

"They do. Usually. Especially when I perform with a bit of sound, a bit of a story about love or loss or live." His grin grows wider.
"Why, are you telling me that you're immune to it?"

[suchgoodluck]

"Oh really," she perks up, her siren instincts kicking into overdrive now. "Do they er, fall under your influence so to speak?"

[bachjones]

He rubs his beard. "That sounds like I drug them or something. Nah, they just ..like my performance, I guess. Sometimes I play a ditty that's a bit dirty, booze gets involved and .." You're too squeaky clean, sweet heart.
"physical things happen, but sometimes it's just free drinks and pats on the back. Usually it's just that."

[suchgoodluck]

"Can you control these circumstances or do they just happen at random?" She inquires, trying to be as nonchalant as possible.

[bachjones]

"Control the circumstances? Yes, I check the room and the sound but ..I don't bring in people or something. It's just my voice."

[suchgoodluck]

"I see," she says, and now she's absolutely convinced that she's found another of her kind. He seems unaware of it, though, so she tries to tread carefully. "And it's when you make use of your voice you notice people attracted to you?"

[bachjones]

I don't know if I like where this is going.

Bach looks around, searching for another subject. "Nah, I can talk to people just like normal. Or are you attracted to me right now?"

[suchgoodluck]

"Don't get me wrong, you're very pretty, and if I liked dudes, I would totally bang you," she tells with him a grin and a thumbs up.

[bachjones]

"If you l- Oh. Oh!" He laughs, maybe a bit too loud and surprised. "I haven't heard that one in a long time, but still, thank you for the compliment. It never gets too old be called bang-able."

[suchgoodluck]

"You've heard it before?" She quirks an eyebrow. "Can you get me their numbers? I kid."

She nods. "You are totally, 110% bangable and don't let anyone tell you otherwise."

[bachjones]

"Often. Especially with younger people do. Old people aren't so forward, try to do it with complimenting all your body parts first. But I don't work with numbers, don't have a phone. If you meant those kind of numbers, anyway."

He chuckles again. "If it would ever happen, I'll take the man or woman down, don't worry."
